FAQs

Do you offer a free first session?

No. We find it best to offer our 2 Week Unlimited Trial for prospects to truly get a feeling of what it is like to TRAIN at TRAIN Moment.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST SESSION?

A training environment, community + coach that will push you out of your COMFORT ZONES in a safe way, if you allow! While we are group fitness, your Coach will offer form and weight suggestions as you would get from a personal trainer.

For our Strength Zones, we do not challenge you to move quickly or do *more sets/rounds which taxes your cardiovascular system , but we focus on controlled, quality movement and using weights that properly challenge your muscles. Slow is Smooth, and Smooth is Fast! (*the exception is our conditioning based days - Tuesdays and Sundays - where we do push for more rounds but NEVER by comprising quality movement and form.)

I am a beginner or just getting back into exercise, Can i still take a session? And what are the best days for me to try?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves in cultivating a supportive Community of clients + coaches. We each leave our Ego at the door and give what we can that day with no judgements. One of the more frequent sentiments we hear from people after their first session is ‘Wow! I was so intimidated/nervous to come in, but everyone is so nice and supportive. The session was certainly challenging, but I was able to do it.”

Though each session and exercise can be modified, if you have hesitations about “keeping up” we would recommend that you try one of our self-paced days for your first visit. This would be Posterior Wednesdays, Single-Sided Saturdays, or A.M.R.A.P Sundays.

I have a limitation or restriction when it comes to training, can I still take a session?

Yes! We have clients + members that are differently abled and/or have pre-existing injuries. Our attention to detail, form and options coupled with our low-impact training style allows a wide range of individuals to effectively and safely train with us.

How is your programming structured?

We train Full Body each session at TRAIN Moment as this is the most efficient way to maximize results, and our thoughtful programming allows for clients to train multiple days in a row.

Our programming is done in 4 week blocks to provide a cohesive, well-rounded program. Each 4 week block consists of 2 Bi-Weekly programs which allows clients to track and thoughtfully progress from week to week by increasing weights, reps, and/or sets.

Each Programming Day of the Week uses tried + true Strength Training methods. Our schedule has a description for each Programming Day of the Week including: Benchmark Mondays, Two-Minute Tuesdays, Posterior Wednesdays, Drop Set Thursdays, Flex Fridays, Single-Sided Saturdays, and A.M.R.A.P or E.M.O.M. Sundays.

what is a versaclimber?!

The VersaClimber - which we use for our 1 Conditioning Zone AKA The Climber - is an amazing, zero-impact, & full body climbing machine that requires little skill + all heart!

We love(/hate) The Climber for it’s zero-impact, natural movement which allows us to SAFELY train hard in a short time, leaving more time for our 2 Strength Zones: The Rig + The Bench.

will i be charged after my 2 week trial ends?

No! The trial is a non-recurring one time charge. After your trial, you would have to purchase a membership or package to keep the gains going!

do YOUR MEMBERSHIPS HAVE COMMITMENTS? HOW DO I learn more about MEMBERSHIPS?

Our Memberships ARE AUTOMATICALLY RECURRING BUT DO NOT HAVE ANY COMMITMENT LENGTH. To cancel your recurring membership, simply email at least 21 days before your desired final billing. Your membership must be unfrozen at time of request.

Membership options and their details are all viewable on each location pages below:

Third Ward (Milwaukee)

Lincoln Park (Chicago)

West Loop (Chicago)

HOW DO I UPGRADE/DOWNGRADE/FREEZE/CANCEL my current membership?

You can always find details on managing your membership in your signed membership details in your account or on our membership details page here.

what are your scheduling and arrival policies?

We implement better than industry standard scheduling policies to best serve all of our clients while protecting the livelihood of our coaches + staff. Thank you for understanding and managing your schedule accordingly.

Late Cancel/Reschedule Policy: Any reservation cancelled or rescheduled with less than 8 hours to the session is a Late Cancel and will result in the loss of the credit used for the reservation. (ALL Unlimited Training Options - Unlimited Trial Offers, Level Up, etc. - are charged a location specific Late Cancel Fee in the place of credit loss.)

No Show Policy: If you do not attend your scheduled session and fail to cancel via your account, you will lose the credit AND be assessed a location specific No-Show Fee.

Standard Arrival Policy: Please arrive at least 3 minutes prior to session start. For your safety, you will not be allowed into the session if you arrive 5 minutes or more past the session start.

First Session Arrival Policy: Please arrive 15 minutes before your first session. For your safety, you will not be allowed into the session if you are not inside of the training room (not just inside of the lobby!) by session start.

WHY do i need to be early for my first session?

This allows you to look over our standard liability waiver, talk with your coach about injuries / restrictions / goals / etc and then get a break down of how our sessions flow. The vital part is getting a demo on how to utilize our VersaClimber which most people have not used before TRAIN Moment.

Do you have Showers?

Yes! Each TRAIN Moment location has beautifully designed, full service locker rooms that include towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, blow dryers, lotion, deodorant, Q-tips, and laundry bags.

Do you have parking?

See parking options for each location below:

Lincoln Park: Free rooftop parking! Enter the parking ramp 2 doors south of us on Clybourn (right by the Red Wings store). Paid hourly parking is readily available along Clybourn as well.

Third Ward: Free street parking right in front until 8AM. Paid and free Street parking is readily available around the space, and there is an hourly surface parking lot just north of our entrance between us and Cafe Benelux.

West Loop: Free street parking until 8AM. Paid street parking is readily available on Desplaines, Randolph and Lake within a 1 -2 block walk.

HOW MANY DAYS CAN I TRAIN AT TRAIN MOMENT WITHOUT OVERTRAINING?

Great question! If you are using TRAIN Moment exclusively you should aim for 4-5 sessions per week which is sustainable and gives you adequate recovery. For those that want to do more, we truly encourage AT LEAST 1 day of complete rest and recovery per week. You will actually hamper your results by coming 7 days per week and not allowing your body to recover. Strength Training REQUIRES RECOVERY for maximal results.

ARE YOU HIRING?

Not always, but we love staying in touch with prospects. If you are interested in a position at TRAIN Moment, email your resume to info@trainmoment.com

Pro Tip: If you are interested in being part of the team, come take a session first!
